Life is a movin…

This is Sydney after her bath the other night. Once you cover her up in a towel, she thinks its kinda funny. And you cant resist it! I had to take a picture.
Just a quick note, life has been busy lately!
The last post I put on here was Sydney’s Birthday. My only excuse is that things have been busy around here. Where to begin!
We are getting closer to getting the basement turned into a basement. The electricians are here tomorrow to wire in more service into the house, and then, we should get a chance to call the spray foamers from there. Lots to clean up first though!
Work has been stupid busy. I was told that July/August are going to be busy, so its not a surprise, but there has been some weekends and extra hours in a day that I am not used to, but we are making progress, so its not in vain. I will take some photo’s in the near future here to see what we have been up to.
More news soon! Some really juicy news too!
Sydney’s First Birthday!

Well, the day had finally come, where our little girl turned the old age of one. We had two birthday parties for her, one with her friends around her age, and then later in the day a BBQ with family and friends. Here are some of the pictures from the day. As per my earlier post here, Sydney was all dressed up in her pink tutu for the dance recital. The last picture was from my iphone, and we did take a better picture (with a better camera) at home earlier, so I thought I should put it up. She honestly kinda liked it.
Something was funny

We are not really sure what was happening here, but you know when kids get into that ‘mood’ where ANYTHING is funny, and they act like its the funniest thing they have ever seen – this was it. Maybe she was tired, or had too much sleep, but either way – this is why people have kids!

We had gotten a set of blocks for her birthday, and the game quickly turned into how many blocks dad could stack up before Sydney knocked em over. Sometimes 2, other times, about 10.

This picture was taken at my cousin Jarrett and Alisa’s daughters birthday. She was all dressed up and the headband was actually still on her head (as long as she forgets about it, we are good – so nobody tell her!)
Bear-Hug

Sydney and her inseparable bear. She drags it around everywhere, and although its supposed to be pink…its usually the colour of dirt. Anyhow, we say ‘hug’ and she gives it a good hug. Sadly, his hug would have snapped its poor neck.

Pool time

Jamie had purchased a small paddling pool for Sydney, so we got her dressed up in her bathing suit. She really didnt know what was happening here yet, but still cute!

No matter what, this picture may look like she is innocent, trust me – she is not. I am pretty sure 30 seconds before this picture she threw all her food on the floor for the dog.
